It felt so real, I woke up thinking- this is it, I finished after the second day... but it was only a dream.
Today, my nose just picked up on every smell and made my stomach sing with excitement.
Whether that was a slice of toast, freshly buttered, or the smell of the bakery, as I stocked up the fridge to feed my family.
Currently, I am stirring a big pot of pasta sauce, trying not to dribble into it, while sipping my lemonade... Oh- yeah baby it surely is one tough ride...
But tomorrow, will be day 4- and then day 5, which is the half way mark.
Plus everyone says that after day 5 one starts feeling exceptionally good.
I have to say, so far, most detox symptoms were mild in comparison, to what I have read on-line.
I think I am blessed that the laxative tea and salt water flush do work very well with me, in the elimination of unwanted toxins.
I am trying to keep myself busy.
Playing heaps with my daughter (who is also getting a detox of electronic devices, as I have been abusing the TV as my nanny) and I also need to get back on top of the house, which is filthy!
So tomorrow I will spend the morning going to a park with Akira and cleaning the house.
Saturday, we will celebrate her birthday at an indoor playground. In between, knitting Don's scarf is also a great way of keeping my mind occupied...
As long as I keep myself busy I won't imagine eating out of boredom...
It's amazing how little food we actually need and how much we crave for comfort.
What keeps me focused so far, is that in 7 days I am on my way to savour yummy delicious food again and that this is not forever.
However, again- should I not make it this far- that's completely fine, as I don't have to prove anything to anyone.
I take my hat off to the people who are doing this cleanse for 40 days!
(Bloody hell, don't you get sick of the taste of the lemonade?!)
Better get back to finishing of dinner, while daddy and daughter are having a good ride on the golf cart.
Hoping for another reasonable sleep.
PS: Below is a link to the original master cleanse book by Steve Bourroughs. It's only 30 pages. Some might seem a bit "old fashioned" spiritually but, keep in mind it was written in the 40's.
